Out of the Blue Comes Green, part 1

My first long story.

Initially planned for 24 Hour Comic Book Day 2018. Last year’s purchase of an iPad Pro has changed these plans though. Everything beside of the storyboards was made digitally in Procreate. That was a wiiiiiiide learning curve but also a lot of fun.

It took 10 months around work and other assignments. It was a challenge to keep the characters looking the same, use the same color pallet, etc. throughout all 26 pages.

The story was divided into 4-page parts with a twist at the end of each of them. Due to these twists and changes in settings also the color pallet differs a bit between the parts.

Here first 4 pages. The 3rd page was completed as the last one of the whole project due to sometimes being considered as not bringing much into the story and maybe not being included in the final version at all.

PS. The title of the story was inspired by an amazing song with the same name of the Norwegian band a-ha from their third album ‘Stay on These Roads’.
